  1. Fun start! I really like the idea and am plotting characters to make with it.

I love the cheap heat alternatives.

I’m kind of confused by “Our brave boys in uniform” I think I see what you’re getting at, but I’d try to clean up the language to make sure it’s clear.

“Ancient Wisdom” feels like it might be a little limited, but it’s a fun idea, and I’d like to see it streamlined and made more obviously useful.

“This isn’t me!” doesn’t really strike me as a move. It’s basically just breaking kayfabe plus the benefits of an advance. Perhaps make it a choice of an advance instead of a move?

  2. While I like “Foreign Fanatic”, I think it should be an optional move rather than the basic one given to all heels.  There are plenty of heel foreigners that could speak english just fine, if thickly accented, and didn’t need a manager to cut effective promos.  The Iron Sheik comes to mind…

  3. I considered making this a Foreigner/Patriot playbook, but I don’t think they do the same things. Kurt is the definition of an Athlete; brought in as an Olympic Gold Medalist, 20 years later he’s still wearing the things.

  4. Isaac, what other heel things do all FOREIGNERS do? Something that unites Alberto Del Rio, The Iron Sheik and Muhammed Hassan.

Perhaps “SOVEREIGN TERRITORY: When you make the Over move, you may ALWAYS add a stipulation to a match, if it reflects a stereotype of your country.”

  5. “KNEEL BEFORE THE GLORY OF MY HOMELAND” — Any successful promo that talks up the virtues of your own country and/or calls out the failings of the country where your match is located gains +1 momentum in addition to its usual benefits.  On a 10+ roll on a promo, you also gain +1 heat against your opponent if they are a face with a patriotic theme, or have brought a flag with them to ringside for this match.
