One question about blending the Ghost.

One question about blending the Ghost.

One question about blending the Ghost. We are going to play MH very soon and I have a Player who wants to play a ghost. To blend him I need to give him “materiality”. But that is not my question. I want to know hot to manage the damage in this case. He es dead but is material. Does he recive damage? I think that he cannot die two times. Maybe he can be always be forced in darker self when he recieve mortal damage.

  1. This was a little hard to understand but I think I have the jist of the question and the answer is… treat him like everyone else. He takes damage as normal and if he takes four points of harm he can be killed unless he buys it off in some fashion.

Don’t Force him to go darkest self, if he doesn’t want to not die then his the character is dead, really and truly and the ghost isn’t coming back (or at least ins’t coming back for a long time… like longer than than span of the game or the season)

Keep in mind that both the Ghoul and the Vampire are basically undead but can be killed. The ghouls have Short rest right on their sheet to help mitigate that and if your ghost wants to truly laugh in the face of death encourage him to take Short rest as an advancement.

  2. What Brandon said definitely works. If a ghost takes 4 damage, then you can create the narrative flavor to match the player’s choice, whether it is incorporial or full on destruction/banishment. Often, the best answers happen on the spot where the MC asks the player “so what does that look like”

  3. It could be final destruction means no after-life. Which was a very frightening prospect for the ghost on Being Human if I recall. Once you are sure there is an afterlife, the prospect of losing it is a pretty big deal.
