  1. Michael R good feedback. I’m very tempted by Grimm but that also seems very monster of the week. Although with the wessen court and all the factions in play I could see it fitting Urban Shadows too.

  2. Being Human (US & UK versions). The vampires are the only ones that really have much in the way of politics but it makes up for that in the amount of interesting ghost material you will get.

  3. This is coming at it from a different angle because it’s not a paranormal series, but the show Person of Interest could serve as a good example of interplay between factions. You’ve got a cast of protagonists working with the Machine and also the NYPD, and they have to regularly interact with (either in direct conflict or needing to call in favors for resources) the Mafia and Shadowy Government Conspiracy. It’s not exactly a traditional source of inspiration, but it could work if you squint just right.

  4. Terrible shows but The Originals and, to a lesser extent, Vampire Diaries. The witch season of American Horror Story, though the factions are displayed more as different groups of witches.
