This may be semantics but the Drone section under armed says “Armed: a weapon can be mounted on the drone.

This may be semantics but the Drone section under armed says “Armed: a weapon can be mounted on the drone. The weapon’s size is determined by the size of the frame.” Does that mean the drone comes with a weapon or the drone has the potential to have a weapon on it?

  1. Yup, potential.

But, if someone picks that option at character creation I would have them pick a weapon to install it it too. I suspect it’s a small/medium drone it wouldn’t imagine it would be a problem getting weapons for it in most Sprawls.

  2. My character did the Right Tool for the Job upon advancement and I had included the weapons right away. Would the move be similar to character creation or should I still need to purchase the weapons?

  3. Brian Schoff unless it was a particularly special weapon, I imagine the cost of the weapon would be minor compared to the cost of the drone/vehicle, so I’d just include it. It’s one of those situations where the fictional situation/setting matters.

  4. Well, I went big and got a vector thrust panzer with auto-cannon and rockets. Which would cost many times as much as a car with a machine gun.

He used to be in the Corp Wars in the deserts of the Southwest and ended up fixing up old thrust panzers and taking them to airshows. So it’s all legal! Until the live rounds come out anyway.

I’ll talk to my group about having to pay a bit in some fashion for all that explosive goodness.
