What happens to her leash when the PC holding it dies? Did you have anything particular in mind?

I’m looking into writing a custom move with my GM to temporarily replace “Off the Leash” until someone grabs ahold of it but I’m not sure what direction to take it.

Have any of y’all run into a similar situation? How did you handle it?

  1. IIRC, the move is about whether the leash-holder would be okay with something, not about the Show actually getting permission, so you could just keep using it after the leash-holder dies.

  2. The move actually says “Do I think you would be cool with this?” Now, I can be boring (mechanically) and say “You’re dead. I don’t think you care at all!” or I can keep answering in her memory, or I can say that “You’re dead, you’re not cool with anything!”

But none of those options seem really good. The second is my preferred, but — in my case at least — I don’t think my character would wear her leash as though the person holding it was still around.
