Not sure I get the harm clock. Is it really just stylized harm check boxes like Monster Of The Week or something more complicated? The different size boxes are throwing me off.

It effectively stylized harm boxes for the setting.
Unless there’s a wrinkle in MotW that I’m forgetting, then yes, it’s the same. Harm Clocks in The Sprawl are functionally the same as Harm Clocks in Apocalypse World (and most PbtA games–except the Dungeon World family). The difference is graphic only.
Can you confirm this, Michael Sands?
Correct.
Monster of the Week just displays them as checkboxes with a divider between modest and critical injuries.
Here’s what Countdown Clocks look like in AW: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_F-ZiQNvmhRw/TRzabS0yQWI/AAAAAAAABLY/3jueocyritY/s400/CountdownOverview.png
Thanks, Michael!
Thanks Hamish Cameron Michael Sands Fraser Simons. I’m actually not familiar with the original. I started with Dungeon World—the odd ball with hit points—and went to MOTW next, then The Sprawl.
Haaa I did the same thing as some other newbs and added my CON to my hit points instead of my constitution. I found the game difficult, for some reason 😛
The reason for the different sizes is that it matches the official Doomsday Clock for showing how close the world is to nuclear war. https://wattsupwiththat.files.wordpress.com/2010/01/doomsday_clock.jpg
Oh, weird.
