  1. I’m not sure I like the XP for misses that Dungeon World utilises (which I assume is what you’re referring to)

I’m running two games of Dungeon World at the moment and in both games I have a player that rolls ‘too’ well. Therefore they barely get any XP whilst everyone else gets cool new moves and spells. I prefer how Sprawl rewards players for succeeding and also playing their character.

  2. As Steve Segedy mentioned, most of your XP comes from missions directives. Most missions offer 5 XP from start to stop (which plays out in one session if you do it right), while directives offer you 2 different ways to gain XP that may or may not crop up in a mission. On average you can expect 1 XP from directives a session. You could in theory get more than 2 XP a session from your personal directives (as they aren’t limited to triggering just once as far as I am aware), but that would be more the exception than the rule.

  3. Thanks. I mainly wanted to verify that it wasn’t like DW and MotW. Those are the only other PbtA games I know and I didn’t know that XP on a 6 minus wasn’t in every game.
