Has anyone run/played MH at an all-boys school or an all-girls school before? If so, how do you think the game went? Any tips or pitfalls to avoid?

  1. I’m throwing together a couple of frameworks for my Games On Demand at Big Bad Con: a school, a community, a list of skins that play to the themes suggested, and a couple of ready-to go NPCs. Maybe a custom move.

For one of them, I was thinking a single-gendered parochial boarding school.

  2. Of course gender is complicated and this setup would certainly allow someone whose self-understood gender is different than the one assigned to them by the conservative gender paradigm by which the school is organized. So that’s one way you could have a male character in a game set at an all-girls school or vice versa. But another way occurs to me: a character could play The Hidden as a character that is socially, but not physically present.

  3. I’m scheduled to run two GOD slots, one on Saturday night and one on Sunday morning. Plan is to have a couple of different scenario skeletons ready to go for either Masks or MonsterHearts and let players pick.
