Anyone up for a semi-regular Tremulus story in Hangouts, inspired by (but not based on) Twin Peaks and Stranger Things? #tremulus #ptba #twinpeaks #strangerthings

  1. Hey. Not really sure yet. Just putting the feelers out. Looking at maybe a week night, Eastern timezone, but I’m flexible if people are interested. What’s your availability look like, +Richard Sardinas?

  2. Edited to add: Preferred nights for me would be Sun/Mon/Tues. I might be able to make some Thursdays but I have a biweekly game on Thursdays so the timing would have to be just right.

  3. I’m interested! I’m EST and have played/run a lot of PbtA as well, having played Tremulus a few times. I have a biweekly game on Friday evenings, but that’s it (though I may be getting into a Sun evening game that has yet to start).

  4. Hey everyone, thanks for all the interest! Sorry I dropped off the map, right after I made that last post I promptly spilled paintbrush water into my keyboard.

Tremulus neophytes are a-ok. I’ve never played it but I’ve done lots of other PbtA games both running and playing (and hacking). Tremulus has great rules for shock and insanity and that’s what Im most interested in.

I’ll do a Doodle poll for time availability but first I want to put out some more of my ideas:

Probably less of the straight up Cthulhu mythos stuff in favor of demons and evil forcing themselves into our world through dreams and insanity and places in the world weakened by negativity or atrocity. I’m adding True Detective (first season) as inspiration, for the Carcosa/insanity elements. Whatever the fundamentals of the dark and spooky stuff, I’m very interested in setting it in the 80s or even early 90s.
