The narrative game style has got me hooked and it looks like it’s the new gaming renaissance. I just finished my first play through of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and have been simultaneously reading up on Blades in the Dark and revisiting my love of all things Sprawl related and have been endeavoring to write a hack for BitD with a cyberpunk flair.

I really want to thank Hamish Cameron for creating such a great product that has given me a fresh take on a genre I have loved for 13 years and hope that my own design work can come close to it.

If anybody’s interested, I have included it below. It’s an ongoing work-in-progress, obviously.

  1. I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure one of the Blades in the Dark alternate settings that went through was a Cyberpunk narrative.

Not that this isn’t still just as valuable, but it will be interesting the different directions these take since they are drawing on different inspirations.

  2. Riley Crowder You’re not wrong and I know John is working on it as part of the stretch goals, but from what the setting information was, it gave me more of an Eclipse Phase feel with the rogue AI stuff.

Essentially, I wanted to create something that I might just end up using for my own group and I figured if I’m putting in the work already, I would want to share it with the community.
