For those who have tried the AW Fallen Empires Hack, how well does it handle a traditional D&D-style dungeon crawl?

  1. I would change games to Dungeon World. In my admittedly limited experience with FE, I did not feel like it would support dungeon delving very well. If I was hellbent on playing FE in dungeons,

I would want to port over the dungeon moves from DW, and I would want to communicate clearly to the players what the plan was, so they wouldn’t choose any of the books whose power is externalized: Angel, Chopper, Hocus, Hardholder, etc. Their fun will be hampered in a dungeon by the way they wield their power.

  2. I agree with Alfred Rudzki. FE moves mirror AW nearly exactly. You cannot do a dungeon crawl in the typical sense with those moves. You could approximate it, but the resource game isn’t really there.
