Testing the waters, so to speak.

Testing the waters, so to speak.

Testing the waters, so to speak.

I’ve been both a wrestling fan and a roleplayer for over thirty years and I think I have a good enough grasp on both to maybe make for someone who might be decent at being Creative.

So, if I were to try to put something together… most likely to be played on Skype, or Discord, or possibly Roll20… how many people from here could I possibly get interested in giving it a shot?

  1. A crew of us (including Gabriel and AJ)were trying to get together a game during the day(EST timezone) if that works for anyone. We had gotten up to 4 people. I would be more than happy to run or play. How are you during the day, Adam?

  2. I’ll play or run, but ideally I’d like to play a session or two before running anything so I can get a feel for it other than just watching youtube videos

  3. A friend of mine from Facebook who I know through the Legends of Wrestling game could also be interested in playing if we can accommodate his schedule

  4. My friend Todd is free in the early afternoons/lunchtime (EST) and has all day free on wednesdays but I’m free pretty much ALL THE TIME, though. I’m new to playing games on-line though so does Roll20 support voice chat? I’m still trying to figure it out

  5. To maybe sweeten the deal and possibly entice more players, here’s what I have in mind for the Season/Campaign/Whatever:

The promotion is Wildfire Pro based out of Austin, Texas. The company is still in it’s infancy so the players could very possibly truly help it grow. Right now they’ll pretty much cover the central and northeast portions of Texas but hope to expand soon. The promotion is run by “Big Roy” Sanders and Harland McCall. Back in the day, Big Roy wrestled as “King” Royal Sanders and McCall was his trusted manager Colonel Harland McCall. They had a fair bit of success on the national stage but were never the biggest stars that they could have been. Helping out backstage is the beautiful Amy Lee, Half-Korean/Half-American Instagram model who got the gig because her father and Big Roy are old Army buddies. I’ll let the players decide on names and personas for any announcing team.

Wildfire Pro won’t have any gender boundaries so men and women will all compete for the same prizes. The top title in the promotion is, of course, the Heart of Texas (H.O.T.) Championship. The secondary title is the Internet Championship. The Internet championship is often a stepping stone to the H.O.T. title and is aggressively fought over. There is also the Wildfire Tag Team titles, of course

The current roll call of champions is as follows: the current H.O.T. champion is “Sexy” Tex Johnson, a sleazy, slimy wannabe ladies man who personifies the ideal of the dastardly heel. The current Internet Champion is Muñeca Cara (aka Doll Face… picture Suicide Squad’s Harley Quinn in a creepy mask as a Hardcore Gimmick) and she currently has a stranglehold on the belt. The Tag Team champions are the fan-favorite Tex-Mex Connection of Cowboy Ron Jones and the masked Vibora Verde (aka The Green Viper). There will, of course, be a few more NPWs as needed to flesh things out.

That’s what I’ve got in mind for now.

    Hope this gets people interested.

    Thanks.
