I was thinking about hacking some of the concepts from Sagas to be used for a Middle Ages game. Specifically England under Norman rule. I do have some ideas for playbooks. Thoughts?

  1. Sagas leans hard into the gender roles of Icelandic culture and makes that the mechanical heart of the game. I feel like unless you adopt a similar focus, hacking the game into something else is probably going to be more frustrating than just building something from scratch with Simple World that fits your theme better.

Tangentially related, but Hillfolk/Dramasystem has a setting exactly like you describe. Maybe look there?
