  1. I assume you mean on a Partial Success of the Acquisition? In which case: yes, absolutely.

You can also Call In a Favor (i.e. gain Debt if you don’t have a Favor saved up) to finalize the bribery, just like any other partially successful Acquisition. The Debt will be with an appropriate faction, rather than the individual or group you’re Bribing.

    Detailed explanation for those interested

So Bribe allows you to use Acquisition to gain on non-standard, ephemeral things like political power and such.

When making an Acquisition, you technically don’t need to offer anything, if you’re willing to roll with the +0. You’re just trusting your personal funds. Whether or not you throw in cargo, a partial success* means you are asked to do something for the seller before they’re willing to finalize the deal. This is a consequence of the partial success.

And, of course, any social/monetary consequence can be kicked up the chain of command to a faction by using Call In a Favor.

(* In the case of Acquisitions, a partial success is a 7-9 or a 10-12 for a deal that the seller doesn’t like. A 10+ is a complete success if the seller likes the deal, and a 13+ is a complete success no matter what the seller thinks. See page 30 of UW)
