My MotW mystery, Blood in Budapest, is finally available as a print-on-demand paperback! It’s a complex but easy to run urban mystery about a hive of highly civilized vampires who go berserk due to a malicious curse.

I’ve put all my heart into making it as easy to read and run as possible, preparing layout and fonts probably took longer than designing the mystery itself. It was aimed at print more than on PDFs so I’m extremely excited that now it’s finally in print!

I will be honored if you decide to give it a try – and please let me know how it works for you!

  1. I run a monster hunting campaign set in New Orleans. Different system and setting. Would this be easy to move to New Orleans and a different rule system?

  2. John Taber It’s almost rules-free and should work in any city with an old town and a newer, lifely, commercial district 🙂 Many Budapest sites used here have their equivalents in any other city – of course you won’t be able to use the background information presented in the book but since you already run the campaign in New Orleans you surely know enough to replace Budapest lore with New Orlean info 🙂

  3. John Taber Please do! Now that I think of it I would really like to see Blood in Budapest in New Orleans, the vampires in this mystery are very Lestatesque 🙂

  4. John Taber As for Eleonore – it’s also rules-light and it has two pages about conversion to other systems. Thing is, this adventure happens in Vienna, London and a Romanian town Talpa and travelling between them is important – so it might be hard to run it just in New Orleans but you could split it between New Orleans, Louisianian countryside and, say, Houston or maybe even New York or Washington. Or Arkham 😉
