Loto is a Beacon. He’s from Hawaii and is obsessed with supers and is looking for a date for Prom. His player has asked me for a list of all the other students at Margaret M MacIntyre Academy whose powers are public knowledge because he’d want to go with a girl who has super-powers.
Help me come up with a list of potential dates with varying degrees of abilities ranging from awesome to ridiculous.
– Aisha has conduction: she can excite the molecules of any conductive material to heat them up, which lets her do things like operating a hot-plate without plugging it in.
– Sierra can transform her body but only into things she’s eaten. So if she had bacon for breakfast, she can turn into a pig. She’s way more aware than the average person how much bug parts are in processed foods.
– Caylee is cocoa-kinetic. She can manipulate chocolate with the power of her mind.
– Jaylen is a dream walker. She is able to enter people’s dreams and sometimes control what they dream about.
– Giovanna can talk to animals. All animals love her. It’s annoying and disruptive. She’s learned that mostly what animals say is “I’m SO SEXY!”
– Danica has power over smoke. She can shape smoke into nearly solid objects that she can manipulate.
Hannah has weather prediction. She can’t control weather, but if you need to know if next Saturday is a good day to go out on the lake, she can tell you with perfect accuracy.
Alexis has mimicry. She can perfectly copy anything physical that she’s seen someone else do after the last time she slept. She loves the Olympics.
Wendy has memory manipulation. She can change or eliminate memories of any fictitious media. What to experience a great movie for the first time again? Want to replace a book’s terrible ending with a better one you had in mind? She’s your girl.
Qura has a variety of emotion control. Those around her always feel happier, more energized, and more confident.
Ashley has sensory scrying. She can experience other’s sensory experiences.
Shawna is the Avatar of the Live Feed. Everything she experiences, thinks and feels is automatically composed into a legible format and posted to social media, non-stop, 24/7. She has basically no control over this, but her general mood does influence the tone of the writing.
Aurora’s voice can control birds. Any Sleeping Beauty references will earn you a slap, or a recreation of a Hitchcock scene if you’re especially cheeky.
Madison can change people’s names. Only the person she affects can remember what their original name was.
Butterscotch Ripple’s breath can smell like whatever she wants it to smell like. Field of daisies? Stench so potent it will literally peel paint off the walls? Equally doable. She got into a prank war with Madison last year, but nobody’s really sure who won or how.

Charlotte can turn into an immovable object (within Earth’s reference frame). Tests showed she could not be hurt while in this state even by renowned blasters. She found her powers when she realized some gang’s escape car was rushing right towards her. She didn’t get to do much after that with her talent after. Apparently it’s not that useful… Or is it?
Rachel has a thing for cars. She will have an intuitive understanding for PC’s ride, if they have one, and will tell them about their car’s feelings. Given the right tools and materials, she might built some amazing contraptions. As of now, sadly, she only has an old Ford which she inherited from her grandmother. It does go 190 km/h. No biggie.
Lorelei can transform parts of her body into insect parts, e.g. growing functional human-sized dragonfly wings, or a hornet tail and sting, or scythe-like preying mantis arms.
Becca can turn things she touches into explosives. She’s learned how to control this…mostly. When she gets emotional her control slips.
Derek is a shapeshifter.
I introduced Loto to ALL of these suggestions today (well, yesterday, now) in our game by having a little kid that was left at his house find his scrap-book of heroes and want to go through it with him. You guys are awesome. Thank you so much.
Jamie Frost Today they were at a beach party and Sandy Sullivan was using his powers of sand manipulation to make majestic castles and stuff. Loto asked whether his name was Sandy before he got his powers and I said “As far as you remember.” They table cried “Damn you, Madison!”
