Urban Shadows Session Summary
Players: “Ugh, I keep taking corruption! This sucks!”
Me: “It’s OK. Take another corruption.”
Players: “Ugh, I have five corruption! This sucks!”
Players: reading corruption moves
Players: “I can possess people? I can have a gang of demons? This is AWESOME!”
Corruption out of play and return as big bad.
Doing anything else is playing wrong.
I love those moments! 😆
Yeah we’re loving corruption
I do have to say that Corruption is so fun that it’s maybe a conflict of interest, insofar as the debt economy goes up in smoke once you decide to ignore them (to gain corruption). Also the Corruption-earning intimacy moves are universally douche-y.
I’m not sure yet! But I suspect it’s possible.
Paul Beakley – I think players choose different paths for different characters. My experience with it is that their character survival instincts kick in when they start marking their 3rd or 4th corruption advance.
P.S. it was the Veteran who took a gang of demons and also the Hunter move that lets you know how to kill things.
Haha so only after you’ve been a complete dick to everyone do you learn to love again. Perfect!
