I know there are mythic moments which are kind of the opposite, something amazing just happens, but what about that “Shock Master Moment” when every thing comes off the rails and people talk about it for years?

Last night I had a player roll double 1’s on a promo, while he had 0 momentum.

I mean it went very badly for him.

Had our first WWW session last night.

Four gimmicks are in play currently:

The anti-hero

The Provocateur

The giant

and the Clown.

We did the setting the heat introduction for all the characters. Some of the ideas that come about during “setting nether heat” are just great; I love how it sets upon the relationships for the rest of the program.

It turned out that most of the players had 2 points of heat with each other except the Provocateur who had three points of heat with the giant. With that in mind I booked two matches of NPW vs NPW then the Antihero vs the clown, then another NPW match then finally the Giant vs the Provocateur. (highest heat matchup got the main event)

I did a very quick introduction to the NPW’s of note, and then moved right into the program.

I started saying that the stage manager told the first two NPW’s to hit the curtain and their music started and the crowd cheered, asked if any of the players wanted to do anything during the match. There were some verbal exchanged behind the scenes.

I did the same for the second NPW match, I described that one of the NPW’s took a hard shot during the match and was cut below the eye. The stage manager told the locker room that they needed some time to get the blood cleaned up at ringside so she pointed at the Anti Hero and “shoved a mic in his face” telling him to go keep the crowd busy.

He did by getting cheap heat calling the venue (Mid-Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie New York) a dump. Durring his tirade the clown snuck up behind him and did some “comic Relief” mocking him and dancing about. The clown rolled an 11 total and owned the segment, capturing the crowd.

The next match was the clown and the Anti Hero, and the antihero’s mind was set on revenge.

The clown began the match with clownish antics, including a pie in the face, but then botched an attempted flame spurting flower trick. The clown’s shirt caught aflame, and during the confusion the anti-hero grabbed a chair from ringside and took a seat to ostensibly watch a clown burn to death. When that failed to happen he folded up the chair and crowned the Clown with-it (Rules? What Rules?) Rolling over a 10 he knocked the clown cold. The anti-hero unfolded the chair and took a seat with his feet up on the clown and said a few choice words to the crowed before leaving the ring.

(During the matches we had two announcers (the other two players) who did the face vs. heel announcer thing very well. )

Next was an uneventful NPW match.

Lastly it was the giant vs the Provocateur. Now in the case the player has made the GIANT truly GIANT. Like 7 foot 4 400 Pounds Giant. Anyone in the ring with him is facing an uphill fight.

Match started with the giant offering a test of strength, with the Provocateur avoided and grabbed control of the match by using a very clever mind games move. The Provocateur maintained control for a few actions behind very strong dice, leading to a take down on the big man and a hold, but once the giant got back to his feet he floored the Provocateur with one massive head but then set him up for his finisher (an inverted Celtic Cross, face buster). Before the finish could materialize the Anti-hero ran in an interrupted by grabbing the provocateurs legs and preventing the finisher!

The crowd went nuts. The provocateur got disqualified, the Giant go t very angry over the dusty finish and the Anti-hero gave everyone a snarky grin.

The giant and the Anti Hero are booked for next week.

Close of show.

It was a good time and lots of fun I think the folks that played are up for another game next week.
