I’m assuming this is kind of an up to the GM and player thing, but is there an official location of Halcyon City?

We’d really like to do a session focused on Masks – but I have been unable to get a response from Magpie Games.
So – I’m posting here to see if I can find any Masks fans/GMs who’d be willing to come on to chat about the game and tell us what they love about it. It’d be a great bonus if anyone wanted to do a short demo session – but, really, I’d just be happy to have some Masks fans on to chat about what they dig about the system. Please respond to this thread if you’re interested. Time investment is minimal (generally a recording session is an hour or less) and usually we have a pretty good time. You can check out our latest chat with the new M&M Dev (just published today) for a sample of what the experience would be like. Thanks! Hope to hear from some of you…

Brendan Conway, what goes into writing or rewriting a good Team Move? I know it should be an if/or question.

I’m currently attempting my first time DMing a Masks game (and my first time DMing ever) and had a couple of things come up that I’m not quite sure how to handle.
1. I have a team that includes a few ranged characters, engaging a villain who is a “punch them with his fists” kind of guy. If a ranged character is attacking someone who can’t reach them, is that still a Directly Engage, since they can’t really trade blows?
2. Another character directly engaged a different villain, and chose the “create an opportunity” option. He used the villain’s cape to temporarily blind her and give an ally an opening to strike. But it looks like a villain should make their Condition Move before anybody else makes a move. So am I supposed to have her make a Condition Move first, or wait until this teammate takes advantage of the opportunity and sucker punches her? And if she gets sucker punched, is that another Directly Engage move?
I’d appreciate any advice. Thanks!

So I’m running a game for some friends of mine and I was wondering if there is a pdf of named heroes that I don’t have. I couldn’t find anything for purchase on DriveThruRPG and it would be a big help for my campaign if there is actually something like that.
Thanks

Not a Masks thing, but a superhero thing: I was watching a show, and one of the heroes did his usual introduction speech (not all heroes do them, but he’s kind of a show-off) and the villain actually stopped what they were doing to basically fanboy over how cool the hero was and how excited they were to fight him. I loved it because it was funny and also made the villain seem more human (despite being a killer robot). It got even better when another hero showed up and the villain was disappointed that he didn’t also have a cool intro.

Reading Masks again while watching some magical-girl anime in the background, I was thinking about how Masks could be used to emulate the genre…
It was interesting to relate the archetypes and powers, but it was late at night and I left the thought unfinished.
Anyone else thought of this?
