I know it’s a long shot, but is anyone running (or looking to run) an ongoing game in need of players? I’ve run the game plenty since the Kickstarter, but I’ve yet to actually play. I’d love to play hero, plus I’m sure seeing the game from the other side of the screen would help my GMing a lot.

I’m thinking about startin a side game for shool kids superheroics for our dnd group and I thought about world after an Alien Invasion that was fought back by Silver Agers – but a lit of destruction and a Crash.

To kick up this I would need questions to ask players to get the setting going and to give players power.

What kind of questions would you fantastic people ask your players?

So after the NPC team leader was “killed” during a stakeout, followed by my character’s mum being kidnapped by the campaign bad guy, then finding out said bad guy who is like superman-level powerful is actually my character’s grandfather, my Nova character was feeling a little angry 🙂

Given the number of conditions the character already had, I needed to do something to get rid of. And to clear anger you need to “break something important”. I look around, and ask the GM, is the moon considered “important?”

A quick charge later, some burn spent to fly to the moon, and following some cosmic power fueled primal scream therapy, the moon has a new crater. I guess the Sea of Tranquility is not quite so tranquil anymore 🙂

Wields your powers says:

Wields your powers says:

> When you wield your powers with precision or grace, roll + Freak. On a hit, choose one. On a 10+, choose two

Usually, “On a hit” is something you do also on 10+, so an additional effect; moves as Comfort confirm this:

> On a hit, they hear you: they mark potential, clear a condition, or shift Labels if they open up to you. On a 10+, you can also add a Team to the pool or clear a condition yourself

Maybe it would be clearer to change the wording in something like “When you wield your powers with precision or grace, roll + Freak. On a hit, choose one. On a 10+, choose another one”, or “When you wield your powers with precision or grace, roll + Freak. On a 10+, choose two. On a 7-9, choose one”?

Is there any GM Love letter examples online that I could read?

Is there any GM Love letter examples online that I could read? Also I would really like to read a ton of custom moves – I really liked the one for giving a interview and would like to learn how to build few for our game.

Two things I would like to have stuff are filming a film (our students are basically doing involved in King Kong shoot) and the before – during and after halloween event moves. 🙂

Hi guys!

Hi guys!

Hi guys!

I’m running some Masks for my group. We’ll be playing our fourth session this week. The AP recordings are gonna be on the Wednesday Night Game podcast starting this week! I’ll post an update here when it drops. I’m just excited to bring this community this content since I’m very eager to finally be giving something back.

Character creation this week and then hour to hour and a half long episodes each week until our campaign is done! Not sure how long that’s gonna be. Probably just until we get tired of Masks and then get to a good stopping point. So we might be playing it for a while!

So, to actually make this a discussion post, are there any events or series of events in your campaigns/sessions that have been particularly memorable? Let us know! I wanna hear about your comic book adventures.

Kirby Craft is waayy too good a move, to the point where over 4 games with separate people and characters, in every one of them the Outsider, Delinquent, and Protege would take it asap. In one game we had three people with Kirby Craft because it is such a good move. Narrative limitations and weaknesses are one thing, but it’s still a single move that acts as a stat switch for three moves.

Compare it to other stat switch moves and it becomes apparent how good that is – especially when superior is already one of the better stats with Assess and Provoke being really, really good.

What happens if a PC enters a scene with all 5 conditions marked?

I know that once the 5th condition is inflicted, they are either knocked out or have to leave the scene somehow. But what happens if they enter a combat scene or a scene where conditions are tossed around like an interview, and still have all 5 conditions marked?

Do they automatically concede the scene? Or are they able to act in the scene until they take one more condition, before being knocked out again?
