New Mystery: Screaming Bloody Murder!

The Hunters have heard rumors of spirits haunting the Battenrow Estate, and have taken the opportunity to stay at the newly renovated Bed and Breakfast during a murder mystery party to do a little investigation of their own. Everything seemed to be normal, until one of the actors stepped out to have a quick smoke, then missed his cue during the big murderer reveal scene. After some stalling and bad improv, everyone heard a long, wailing scream echoing through the house. An actress ran out onto the patio to find the missing man dead, bloody and ripped to shreds. Was it another member of the party? Or perhaps it was a vengeful spirit of the famously haunted house?

Dear Patrons, my dual mystery “It’s still Sparta” joined the Halloween sales on RPGnow in the last moment 🙂 It’s an experimental mystery where your players first play as ancient Spartan heroes in a gigantic flashback and then try to finish the Greeks’ monster hunting business as their usual Hunters. Hey everyone, this is a working draft of my first mystery, which I’m planning to run with 3-4 friends this coming…

Hey everyone, this is a working draft of my first mystery, which I’m planning to run with 3-4 friends this coming Saturday. I’ve never played any kind of tabletop RPG before so any advice is much appreciated! Especially if the concept is too convoluted, plot holey, or at all problematic. I was inspired by Nathan Shields’ thrillclaws from Keep Calm and Carry On and borrowed some aspects of their attacks ^_^ Many thanks for sharing that mystery!

The local marsh is the perfect location for an upcoming mud run, the MarshMallow 5K. For three miles, contestants will be slogging through the mud, through challenging obstacles, and, unbeknownst to them, avoiding the supernatural.
