Hey everyone, this is a working draft of my first mystery, which I’m planning to run with 3-4 friends this coming Saturday. I’ve never played any kind of tabletop RPG before so any advice is much appreciated! Especially if the concept is too convoluted, plot holey, or at all problematic. I was inspired by Nathan Shields’ thrillclaws from Keep Calm and Carry On and borrowed some aspects of their attacks ^_^ Many thanks for sharing that mystery!

  1. Advice-wise, just stay relaxed and let the hunters lead where everything goes.

After you present them with the initial hook, let them decide when and where they investigate and use the stuff in your prep to prompt you about what will happen when they do that.

  2. Michael Sands Thanks so much! 🙂 Also I’m planning to ask them if they want to use the alternate weird moves (Empath and Sensitive have awesome potential, esp for this mystery) and will report back if we do.
