I don’t know if you lot noticed yet, but Jackson Tegu’s site has been updated with Second Skins adapted for Monsterhearts 2. There’s also the free Selkie skin on there. I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve been eager to see the Cuckoo back in my MH games again.

Monsterhearts 2: No roll bonus cap?

Monsterhearts 2: No roll bonus cap?

Monsterhearts 2: No roll bonus cap?

I know that in Monsterhearts 2 there is no more the singleton rule (p. 43, 1st edition), but in the first edition there also was another rule:

“No matter what, the highest bonus you can have on any given roll (counting both stat and forward) is 5” (p. 19.)

In Monsterhearts 2 I couldn’t find it, even if it seemed very important to me for the game system. Do you think it was left behind intentionally?

So tonight my girlfriend is going to game her first roleplaying session.

So tonight my girlfriend is going to game her first roleplaying session. As it should, I’m sidelined and have time to think about games. They off course chose Monsterhearts and the co-players are particulary chosen by the GM.

When the Monsterhearts 2 books arrived I hade plenty to read, and come on, I’ve already read and played it plenty (for a busy guy)!

Oh, so how do you improve on a perfect game, besides clarifying and whittling on it?

The text! OMGawd! I literally couldn’t lay the book away and stayed up late! This reads beautifully! The language is fluent and the, already brilliant, game is severly improved! WOW!

In MH2, does the rule of 1xp/1string per scene still apply? I can’t seem to find this in the book.

i share it this videos, it’s a little season of Monsterhearts, played with a group of friends from Latinoamérica… the zero session is about the creation of characters and the high school (in Malibu Beach!), and the others are the played sessions, with a lot of drama and darkness… i hope your enjoy this…

Bonus track is a little session dedicated to analise the play and those elements that we most liked (i included some resources in spanish to play the game).

A big hug from Chile!!!

* Using Conditions*

* Using Conditions*

* Using Conditions*

Since the release of the 2nd Edition, there’s no longer anything in the book about how the MC interacts with players’ Conditions.

I’m running a campaign, and I’m finding that the players are accumulating Conditions and – clearly – it doesn’t really matter. No one has ever even so much as tried to remove one.

Using them as “reputations” (particularly at school) can certainly inspire how I play my NPCs, and sometimes I try to really exaggerate that.

Aside from that, though, what and how can an MC really make Conditions feel significant?

How do you leverage them and make them count?

Hi all i have a question about a fiction / mechanic

Hi all i have a question about a fiction / mechanic

Hi all i have a question about a fiction / mechanic

example :

If I take a move that swap a stat “when you do…. use cold, hot , dark instead of…”

I must roleplay the stat to make it work? Or simply work cause the move say so?

Example: i take from the ghoul skin , the move “disaffected: when you turn someone , roll with Cold” i must make some special fiction to justify the fact im using Cold instead hot? Or not?

Thx to all’ and sorry for my bad english 🙂
