Are there any best practices for when someone isn’t really following their Darkest Self description even though they are in it? It feels bad to say “no. i feel like you should go more for it!” or something like that. How do you deal with this at the table?

Here’s a Skin concept I’m working on: The Sphinx. It’s unfocused and needs a lot of polish, so thought I’d throw it up for fresh eyes.
Basically, the idea is the brainy, cynical alterna-nerd, two parts lit geek and one part conspiracy buff: convinced of her intellectual superiority, scornful of all the stupid people around her, yet of course horribly insecure underneath. Intellectual rather than emotional manipulator who enjoys confusing and playing head games with the “stupid mice” without them being aware of it. In her Darkest Self she goes full-on Lecter, figuratively or even literally devouring those who don’t measure up.
Like I said: unfocused at present. There are too many Moves and they’re all over the place, but I think there’s the germ of a good Skin in here. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

I’m trying to figure out a motive for my Fae character in Monsterhearts. She slept with her crush’s younger brother a year or so ago. What possible motive would a teenage girl have for doing this? I feel like it should have been some twisted way to get closer to the crush, maybe. Thoughts?

Anyone know what font is used for the Monsterhearts headings? Or does anyone know where I could find a template to create official-looking Skins.
I’ve created a pseudo-Skin for players who join a game mid-Season, that allows them to play as an apparently ordinary human teenagers for a session and pick their Skin by the end – potentially they can actually be an ordinary teenager who gets changed by the events of that session (perhaps through receiving some sort of gift, or curse, or by dying) but with he option that they were actually a Skin already, in the guise of a human. It’s a way to allow a new player to hit the ground running, without having to integrate themselves into the established setting outside actual play.
I’m also still trying to scratch that Constantine itch too, by creating something like the Witch or Infernal, but something that’s more like a trickster, fool, or loveable rogue, who isn’t half as clever as he makes out and usually only gets out of the trouble he gets himself into by burning bridges and friendships.

So I’m MC-ing a game and one PC had taken the No Rest For the Wicked move (you die but a few hours later you’re resurrected). The PC dies (4 harm) already in their Darkest Self. Their only option to stay alive is burn all their Strings and they don’t want to. So they die. The scene continues with them lying there dead and the other PCs dealing with an NPC. The Dead PC says they want to spend a String to force another PC to have to Hold Steady. I immediately said he couldn’t because a few hours hadn’t passed and he had died seconds ago. The player tried to argue that he could spend this String despite being dead and the conditions of his resurrection move not being met.
