Hey everyone, sorry for being a bit late to the party.

I got to know Sagas of the Icelanders a few months ago and would like to host a session some time soon at a Games Club. I do have a PDF version of the rules, playbooks and MC moves, but I was looking for some public/promotional material that I can send out to possible players in advance to advertise a little bit. However, it seems like the old Indiegogo website is deader than dead, with not even the youtube link for the promo video working anymore, and also all the public links to playbooks etc. that were shared on Twitter at some point are dead.

Can someone please point me to some place on the web where I can direct my prospective players to that does a bit of advertisement for the game?

Did anything ever come of the Companion I’ve found reference to on the older parts of this community?

I was thinking about hacking some of the concepts from Sagas to be used for a Middle Ages game. Specifically England under Norman rule. I do have some ideas for playbooks. Thoughts?

I just picked up SotI and read it cover to cover in one sitting.

I just picked up SotI and read it cover to cover in one sitting. After scouring the group, I was able to find a link to the playbooks by Catherine Ramen and Jason Morningstar. I also found a two page ‘one shot handout’ from Jason as well, but there does not seem to be much context around it (probably just my own misunderstanding).

Are there any other resources available? Addition one shots? I did see the Skald playbook by +Luigi Briganti, are there any others?

I’ve already shared it to my circles, but I’ve only now realised I should probably share it here, too.

While I have been noodling with various stuff after Sagas, I haven’t really had the time or brainspace to spend on designing new games. I’m now trying to get back into it and I set up a Patreon for ongoing projects. Come check it out.

What about a players move for passing/advancing the seasons and years ? I know there is one by default for the MC, but it would be interesting to see a version where the players roll to see if certain events happen. Anyone thought about this or came up with a house-rule for it ?
