Quick question:

I know you can jack in without using a neutral interface, but can you jack in without a cyberdeck?

The Tech in my game recently got a cyberdeck and took the jack in move so it probably wouldn’t be an issue but we had a lengthy discussion about the matrix and this was an unanswered question.

From the book:

Cyberdecks transform the Matrix’s signals into neural impulses and vice versa. They also provide the platform from which a hacker runs programs on corporate sub-systems and ICE. The cyberdeck is the interface between the Matrix and the user. Every signal between the user and the Matrix passes through the cyberdeck. If the deck gets fried or destroyed, that communication route is broken and the user is disconnected.

Hey CyberPunks,

Just started MCing The Sprawl and I really dig it. Having some difficulty with the Reporter’s Story clock. The Noise Clock isn’t so much an issue as I can pretty quickly come up with ways a Corp might cover evidence up. I like the idea of the Reporter and I think it allows for a lot of vision to come into the game as with the Pusher.

Has anyone here run The Sprawl with a Reporter on the team? How did you handle it? What are your thoughts on Stories/Story Clock and does this interact with Headlines at any point? I could see that if the story gets covered up maybe it comes back as a headline later on.

May neon and chrome be with you

I picked up Lock In. Snow Crash was on there. What cyberpunk titles do you recommend in the sale?

Hi people! I’m about to start a The Sprawl as a GM. I’ve got a question tough:

How well The Sprawl handles ongoing campings? I’ve got no experience about this, and I’ve heard/read that this game would have some issues about longevity and ongoing elements and that it would be suited more in episodic play.

Thanks in advance!

Markus and Harald from 3w6 Podcast interviewed me earlier in the summer. My sound quality isn’t great, but there should be some interesting stuff in there, including design thoughts, MCing the game, the upcoming The Sprawl: Mission Files (being laid out right now), and my brief ballpark speculation about a second edition in 2022 ;).
