To people who have made an Infiltrator and then taken the Neural Interface cyberware. It states that you then take the move Jack In. Are you assuming that uses up the Infiltrators “Choose one more move” option during character generation or is this a bonus move they get for picking that piece of cyberware?

I’m aware this could be played by ear and doesn’t matter too much but just wondering.

This is a very silly and stupid question but just trying to wrap my head around starting corporation clocks when doing the Links bit.

Basically just trying to confirm that the first mention of a corp is essentially a freebie? The book says that you “start a corporation clock” for the corp but I’m assuming that means you don’t fill any of it. So in the unlikely event I mention doing a job with Corp A and then no one else joins in that Corp begins with its clock at 1200 not 1500?

Act Under Pressure or Mix It Up?

Act Under Pressure or Mix It Up?

In my Tuesday night game I had a player tracked down by a bounty hunter at a bar in the free fire zone. As a result of a miss on a move, they found themselves being handcuffed to the bounty hunter, who intended to take them in for contract hopping. What then followed was the character being marched out the front with a taser pressed into their back, still cuffed to our erstwhile bounty hunter. This is when the character tried to make their break for it, by head butting their captor.

This is the situation I found myself in. I went with Act Under Pressure since the character was being held at weapon point. I figured it was less a question of if the player could accomplish the goal, but if they had the nerve. My decision was partially based on the fact that the character was at a hefty disadvantage (cuffed and at taser point).

How would you resolve this sort of situation where two different moves could apply?

// SPECIALIZED ICE

// SPECIALIZED ICE

// SPECIALIZED ICE

I’ve decided to write up some examples for Specialized ICE for use in your Sprawl game.

I like to use these especially for creating a sense of consistency and branding in ICE, and being able to define clearly ahead of time what sorts of actions an ICE will take. Because of this, hackers can make much more informed decisions on how they’ll deal with the ICE, or which ICE to target in case of multiple being present in a scene.

Hope you like them! Don’t take their ‘rules’ too strictly and mod to your hearts content.

I’m trying to wrap my head around how gangs work in The Sprawl.

I’m trying to wrap my head around how gangs work in The Sprawl.

If the Fixer has small gang of hired thugs watching their back, are they treated as additional weapons/armor for the Fixer when mixing it up or are they treated as an NPC with their own harm clock?

If a player hires a gang of hackers in infiltrate a secure network does the player roll for matrix moves? If the player doesn’t have a neural interface/deck but the hacker gang logically does, how does that all work?

Has anyone thought how to introduce psionics, or, mental powers to the system in some way?

Has anyone thought how to introduce psionics, or, mental powers to the system in some way? The game I’m hoping to play has a character wanting to play someone with mind control, or a clairvoyant, or a telekinetic character and we were wondering if anyone had some ideas how to plug this concept into The Sprawl.

Recently purchased The Sprawl and it’s been a blast reading through it! It is my understanding that there’s going to be an extra settings-focused release coming out (I’m desperate to have the Touched materials) – do we have an estimate on when that might be?

Are there any fillable Sprawl sheets? I’m going to be playing in a game and I would love one.
