I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you wonderful community members who have pledged, shared, play tested, commented or otherwise been a part of the creation Uncharted Worlds. It can’t be said enough, but I’m honored and humbled by your support.

I’m delighted to announce that Uncharted Worlds has hit its first Stretch Goal this afternoon! The Carta Galaxia pdf supplement will be going out to all ‘stretch goal’ backer levels around the same time as the book/main pdf (there will be previews beforehand, of course)

Carta Galaxia will be a big collection of pre-generated characters, planets, factions and such, all the material you’ll need to hit the ground running with a one-shot, fill in the odd corner of your galaxy, or just peruse for inspiration. Our Stellar (Neutron, Pulsar and Quazar) pledges will have their respective creations immortalized in these pages!

Carta Galaxia will also have a number of Jump Points; prompt-driven Adventure Modules of a variety of sci-fi flavors (exploration, combat, space travel, horror, etc). Each Jump Point will guide the GM where to prompt and how to work with the players to shape the story.

Looking to the future: The Uncharted Worlds Kickstarter still has 6 days to go, and the next Stretch Goal has probably been the most requested bonus material since the project began. I truly believe that with a final push, we can achieve Far Beyond Humanity, and expand character creation a hundredfold by adding psionics, mysticism, mutations, robotics and other such oddities.

Like me, a lot of you really want to see Far Beyond Humanity happen. If you know of anyone who is interested and has yet to pledge, be sure to send them a reminder this weekend. Maybe you’ve been considering upping your pledge, either going from PDF to a printed copy, or becoming a Stellar pledge to join the growing number of Stellar backers and be featured in Carta Galaxia.

No matter what, I greatly appreciate your continued support. Thank you all again!

One thing I’ve picked up in earlier previews is that combat works a bit differently compared to other games.

Instead of rolling blow by blow, it seems that physical conflict between two parties is resolved by a single roll, the result of which determines the outcome of the fight. Have I got that right?

Uploaded a guide to character creation.

Uploaded a guide to character creation. Rather than have you guys just stare at me talking with my hands for 3 minutes, I went ahead and put up some simple graphics. I might revisit the previous How To Play video and do the same; I’m learning a lot about editing and video making in general.

I was thinking of making a Strawpoll community-voted character creation, just for fun.

Oh man, this is the second Powered by the Apocalypse game I’ve seen to use Juan Ochoa’s work. Awesome stuff!
