The situation is kind of like this, in the past session the PC’s managed to find themselves in the middle of a masacre that was ransacked by the wild hunt and they found a faerie hound that immediately bonded with our hunter, to establish this connection more mechanically I wanted to create a costume move that allows the hunter to find or hunt his mark by using the hound as a tracker but I’m stick on the move, and really can’t seem to think on how to make it work, any ideas?

So now that I’m running the game, I’m super curious: how has everyone handled the Change your Faction advance? I’m not really seeing the potential for it, and I’d love some examples.

I’ve read the city guide, and though it does an adequate job of capturing the real-world diversity of London, it doesn’t extend that diversity into the faction descriptions which are overwhelmingly white/eurocentric.
What are some ways of reflecting the diversity that defines London in the Fantastical elements of the game?

Hey guys and gals, I’ve had a bit of a dumb moment, but is there a MC resource for “stats” to give Threats in the game? In the book there is mention of Trolls and Fairies and other things that go bump in the night, but no example of them or their abilities, if any.
My group is from a D&D background and so violence is their #1 problem solving method, i wanna be prepared.
Hello
Hello,
Does anyone else have trouble with the starting move? My group has been struggling with it. We just don’t see the point of asking a different player for a faction. Person asks person B for a faction they haven’t checked. Then Person A makes a rumor. Why not just have person A make a new rumor?
Does anyone else have this issue?

I’m running a roll20 game of Urban Shadows, and I’m curious if there are some good options for NPC character management.
I want to create a “card” or record for each NPC and track all the usual stuff, name, faction, a picture, drive, debt and a few details.
roll20 “handouts” work okay, trello boards and cards work okay, but I’m looking for something that would help me more easily and effectively to manage 20 contacts or so.
Suggestions please!
Does anyone have any tips for involving the Specter in play more?
Does anyone have any tips for involving the Specter in play more? The other three characters – a Hunter who can easily be called on to deal with any trouble, a Tainted looking to earn her patron’s favor, and a Vamp who runs a bar and deals in info – are all easy enough to drag into the mix, but the incorporeal nature of the Specter makes it tough for me to make her feel relevant as the MC.
Refusing debt.
Refusing debt.
Let’s imagine a situation:
Rose(PC) is asked by Trevor(NPC) to transport some cargo from harbor to his warehouse because she owes him for other deal few nights back.
Right at that moment Rose has opportunity to Refuse the debt, say how she is playing it, then roll the dice and choose options.
But what if Rose accepts the deal but start second guessing it while doing it.
What if Rose learns that the cargo she is transporting are humans that Trevor intends to sacrifice to the dark goods of his
or
What if the cargo container eats two rockets and is totally destroyed, people inside are all dead.
Have you had a situation as above at your table, if so how did you handle it, or how would you handle it should such situation occur ??
Would you allow Rose to roll Refuse debt then, would she roll +Heart or +Nothing(because she initially agreed so now she is at more disadvantage) or do you play it in the fiction and do what fiction demands ??

May I ask everyone’s experience or views on dealing with vulnerabilities of supernaturals, particularly for PCs, particularly vampires? Might there be a good way to have player input on whether vamps are subject to sunlight, fire, holy stuff, etc. in a way that everybody can live with? How do you decide how much or how many vulnerabilities to include? Thanks!
