Quick question on the Oracle move At Any Cost.  Does this move trigger when you attempt to interfere with someone’s plans or actions to prevent one of your visions from coming true, or when you succeed at interfering with someone’s plans or actions?

Let’s say they were also triggering get in the way, in the former case, the +1 forward would apply to the get in the way roll, so the move reads as being good at stopping your visions.  On the other hand, the +1 forward would be like a reward for your efforts, riding high or carrying momentum through to whatever you do after you have got in the way.

So, our were-tiger (The Wolf) told a werewolf leader that the Mayor of New York had asked her and her pride to wipe out the werewolves.  This was indeed true and she told the werewolf leader where the mayor would be on the night he was to turn.

The werewolves hunted down and ate the mayor to prevent further threats against them.

Does this count as ‘declaring a hunt’ to mark corruption?  I’m leaning towards yes, player thinks it doesn’t because she didn’t strictly ask them to kill the mayor.  Any thoughts or opinions?

Just played my first game with the final version of Urban Shadows. Great fun. The full text clarifies the goals and spirit of the game so much.

So amazing to see my beloved hunter Moriko enshrined in Hunter Valhalla!

As someone who’s been playing US for a long time already, it’s awesome to see it come in to its full glory. Love the artwork. Love the game.

Great job, Andrew and Mark.

Quick question about the Spectre move “Won’t be ignored”. Is it imagined that the character would need to have manifested first, or is this the sort of thing where the ghost appears out of nowhere, scaring someone?  Or is it really just up to us 🙂

I have a doubt with the debts. When you cash for a debt, if the debtor agree your request, Do you lose the debt?

Sorry – posted this earlier, then removed it because I saw there was an update for the PDF on DTRPG – but looking in the update I still see this – do critical wounds heal faster than grievous, or is that a typo?

You heal from harm by receiving medical or supernatural aid—hitting the streets is often useful for finding someone who can patch you up. Once you’ve gotten medical attention or magical assistance, healing happens slowly, generally removing one faint or critical harm every couple of days and one grievous harm every week. Your MC will tell you when you heal harm; mortals can’t walk off a bullet wound in a day or two, but some supernatural creatures can bounce back a bit faster.

Well, I have read the entire book and I’m very impressed.

Well, I have read the entire book and I’m very impressed. Very good game, we’ll written, with an appropriated rule density and a very clever use of space. You show rules and flavor text at the same time helping to set the reader mind in the urban shadows lanscapenand and transmitting the rules, all at once. I’ m very excited to test the game with my own friends. We were WoD fans in the past, so I think it will be a success! I’m sure they will love it.

Hi all!

Hi all!

Hi all! I’m hoping to run  game of US soon, and I had a quick question about the Wizard Archetype’s spell Hex. In the “Notes on Your Moves” section, the book says, “Only one Hex can be cast on a target at a time. Additional hexes do not inflict additional harm.”

What does this mean precisely?

I’m assuming it is saying that a Wizard can’t use 3 hold to cast a single 3 Harm Hex on a single target, but would that same Wizard be able to wait a moment to cast 3 separate 1 Harm Hexes on that same target (and presumably have 3 samples of the target’s DNA)?

Or that a single Channeling roll, no matter how much hold you get, only lets a Wizard cast Hex once for 1 Harm on a single target?

Or that no matter how often you Channel, you can only ever harm a target once for 1 Harm?

Or that a significant amount of time must pass before you can re-cast the Hex?

Thanks for any clarification you can give me!
