Revising The Ongoing Games Matchmaking Thread

The same post has been up for over a year, so I’m thinking of unpinning it and creating a new one so that it’s a little more manageable (as I’m sure there’s some folks from over a year ago who would appreciate not getting pinged by new comments on it, among other reasons).

Before I do that, any feedback on the thread to improve it’s utility? I mean, it’s just meant to be a central place to casually try and connect people to play, but if there’s anything I can do to make it better at doing that, post your ideas in this thread and let’s see what happens.

Floating champions would be smarter, have some clause where they have to defend on the rival brand show once every 3 months, so they can alternate which title is defended month to month.  That way other show can have longer build up to title matches.

Also: turning Carmella heel was a a smart move, her music is perfect for it, and she always came off Heel early on when partnered up with Enzo and Cass.  Good segment there Smackdown.

I’m a little confused about how the Backstage element of the game works. It’s mentioned in passing throughout the PHB about how wrestlers can negotiate outside of kayfabe but there are no actual instructions about how they work.

Can I please have some clarification?

Question about the Exhibition match: the text reads that you can only get a check once per category per match, thus you have to choose between cashing checks out for Momentum or a Finishing Move bonus, but the example of play features Lord Gray cashing out Momentum for Work and later getting a bonus to his Finishing Move with a Work check – which is correct?

If the first interpretation is true, how do people feel about a slight change where you can get checks multiple times but only cashing out once per stat per match? That way you can get both the Momentum and the FM bonus? Interested in your thoughts.
