So I am 4 sessions into running my first Apocalypse World game. And I am loving it. I have introduced custom move that I created for a player whose character is 1 of a set of triplets who said that they are no longer together because trouble always showed up when they were together. It has worked well so far but I am thinking of ways it might change going forward. Here’s the move (it worked well but any advice or other possible effects would be welcome) :

Dammit Storm: The storms come when the Dammit sisters are together. Roll + number of sisters. on a 10+ hold 1 , on a 7-9 hold 2 on 6- hold 3 :

– You have time to prepare

– The storm is localized.

– The storm passes quickly.

– No one suffers Psychic harm

Hi, I’m looking for a few playtesters for a Shadowrun hack for the Sprawl.

Hi, I’m looking for a few playtesters for a Shadowrun hack for the Sprawl.

Hi, I’m looking for a few playtesters for a Shadowrun hack for the Sprawl. It will happen Wednesday Nov. 15 at 6 pm pst. We have run it for Shadowrun players but would love to get feedback from people familiar with the Sprawl and PtbA games. If any on here would like to help and play a one-shot (possibly 2 shot) let me know.

The infiltrator in my game just bought himself a neural interface. I know that had he picked it up during chargen he would have the Jack In move. He had the foresight to grab the deck in Gen. So I’m curious if he gets the Jack In move automatically or does he need to spend xp and get it as an advancement?

Ran my 3rd session of the Sprawl last night.(first session following a character dying and the group failing a mission, players are cool with that happening) Still trying to get the hang of moving legwork and action clocks. After the game last night, while talking with the characters, we fell in the idea of scene clocks. The help both me and them gauge how the scene is shaping up. Does anyone do this? Any tips and hints for when I try incorporating this clock?

Hi I’m curious on the fixer’s “I know people” move.

Hi I’m curious on the fixer’s “I know people” move. Does the player have to “roll hit the street” following that move? It came up in my session the other night. Wasn’t sure. It feels like there’s already a roll involved so I made the call that the move doesn’t need the additional hit the street roll. But I am now curious because I could see a case for needing the second roll.
