DEMONIC JOBS Your dark patron keeps you on Earth for a reason. Choose two jobs from the list below:

collecting souls, tracking down rogue demons, delivering threats and messages, guarding someone or something, assassinating your patron’s enemies, brokering demonic contracts, hiding demonic contraband.

When you complete a job for your patron, mark Wild. Your patron owes you a Debt for every job completed.

You can cash in a Debt with your Patron in order to have them:

• Answer a question (honestly) about their Faction

• Introduce you to a powerful member of their Faction

• Give you a worthy and useful gift without cost

• Erase a Debt they hold on someone

• Give you a Debt they have on someone else

• Give you +3 to persuade them (choose before rolling)

Your patron may offer you the chance to buy your freedom, but Debts alone won’t be enough.

How does this works?

You cash in a debt with your patron to have ¿THEM?

One of the most interesting things i notice in Worlds in Peril is the fact that moves and stats are independent.

I will be running a few games in the incomin Tierra de Nadie Convention, and i’ll like to use the system properly, so a have to ask about how this combination of moves and stats works.

Take Down is the most basic action move, and seems obvious Smash is the stat to use when punchin enemy villains.

What about using laser beams or archery shots?

Archery seems speedy or agile action, so we’ll use Take Down with Maneuver.

But energy beams?, is a matter of aim… Maneuver again?, Investigate if character defines it as a tactical use of her powers (like Cyclops and his force eyebeams)

And the also basic action of a perception check, against an enemy ambush for example?

You can’t examine, neither take down the ambushers nor seize control of something you have yet not noticed.

Serve and protect or Defy danger dont seem adequate too :S. Checking for ambushers is reflexive action, while those moves are active.

Stat should be Protect, because is the defensive passive stat and seems just right. But the move… which one should i use?

I’m looking for the US WoD hack, but all the links seems to be broken :(

Although i understand the rules for using debts, and we create great stroyplots during the first session, i guess we’re not using them to their full potential during game sessions.

Any tips for using debts during games?

Somo recurring themes arise in the table.

On the debts creation step we have found useful to let players allow debts on NPCs. This creates more backstories, and more nice NPCs related to the characters.

Its a constant on players using the Wolf Archetype that they want to be able to shapechange at will (just like World of Darkness werewolves).

I allow them to take a wolf option to let them do this rolling for Spirit. On a hit they can shapwchange. On 7-9 they either mark corruption or take 1 harm.

My 2 cents.
