What are some things that can “go terribly wrong” when a Vamp feeds that aren’t just “they die.”

I’ve got a Vamp PC who loves cashing in debts to feed on other PC’s. So far, we haven’t had that roll miss yet, but I’d like to be ready when it does.

  1. This probably wouldn’t work for a PC but what if the victim becomes obsessed with the Vamp? Maybe even emulating their style, actions, and/or feeding behavior.

  2. So the Vamp gets their immortal nature from something, so what if whatever that is marks the victim somehow. I’m not sure what that means, but the Vamp acting as a catalyze for something much worse than itself seems pretty cool.

  3. Joseph Slade You could switch this around, the vampire becomes obsessed with the victim: Give the victim 2 debts on the Vamp, and the Vamp takes -1 ongoing to any actions against the victim until those debts are gone.

  4. Yeah, I like the idea of the victim being “marked” somehow. Maybe there’s a connection between the vamp and the victim that makes them a easy conduit for attacks to the Vamp.

Or something like they’re connected and harm to one results in harm to the other.

  5. Wasn’t a failed roll but in the session we just finished there may be the beginnings of an obsession when Joe Beason’s Vamp found out Oracle blood seems better than other human’s blood.

  6. Some kind of link between the two sounds good. Or the vamp takes on the responsibility for a debt/promise/task that the PC has because they believed they were involved?

I also like the idea that the PC is scent marked as ‘belonging’ to the vampire which could cause all kind of fun and games

  7. The Vamp loses their appetite. Something gets… backed up, and even if they feed in their normal way, it Just Doesn’t Work.

Who do you go to when your hunger can’t be sated, when your curse gets cursed? Other Vamps? Surely not.
