Hi all

Hi all

Hi all

A while ago I tripped over a little rules set for running Mad Max style car races in the Apocalypse World setting.

I have one of my players in my S&V game is going to be in a speeder race and i thought i wold use those rules as the basis for the race but, of course, now I can’t find them – or even remember what they are called.

Can anyone help?

Hey, if you want to check out how 1on1 game of Ironsworn (low fantasy, vaguely Norse setting) goes on an asynchronous RPG platform, you are more than welcome to do so!

Hey guys, for those who did not know, I am running a one-on-one Guided Ironsworn game along with Josh McGraw. The basic premise is that our main protagonist, Toran, is caught in the tempest of events that are orchestrated by a man who has already taken everything from him. It is a rather bleak story, with the theme that I would describe as “People are bastards” (Toran not excluded), hence the name, A Grim Tale.

We have just ran into a really, really tense moment, with a very morally and emotionally heavy decision that Toran has to make. I will say no more to avoid spoilers, but I just wanted to share that I am really curious about how will this end, and knowing that I have not much say in this, with everything left to Josh and dice gods, makes it all the more exciting.

It is ran on Role Gate (heartily recommended!), so you can see all the moves engaged as you are reading. So if you wanted to see how Ironsworn works in practice, well, look no further!

My play-tester backed out of our session this evening (Thursday, 8:30pmET). Anyone interested in jumping in?

What it is:

Lonesome World, a one-on-one PbtA Western-themed RPG

(one-on-one = one GM, one player)

Where it’s at:

Still in friends-n-family testing, but we’re all family here, right?

How we do:

I like using Google Hangouts for chat and Roll20.net for managing dice and such.

If you’re available and interested, drop me a line. If interested (but not available tonight) drop me a line any way, and we’ll set up another time.

Thanks!

So I’m finally ready to start another game, and a friend wants to play apocalypse world,as does my wife.

So I’m finally ready to start another game, and a friend wants to play apocalypse world,as does my wife. The problem is they might be my only 2 players. So my question is can AW be played as a two player Badlands duo team of awesome? I’ve not tried a 2 player AW game, but I’m have tempted to rub with it and enjoy it. Just looking for some advice, tips, and experiences.

I’m looking for some players to playtest a teen detective hack called “Best of Fiends” on Rolegate.

Hi there!

Hi there!

Hi there!

I’m thinking of redesigning the booklets of my “Horrifique” hack and I’d like to benefit from your advices.

The booklets are based on professions. I have the feeling that this is an old AdC remnant, and that we could imagine another way to characterize the characters.

In Lovecraft’s stories, the protagonists are very little described and are almost interchangeable.

According to you:

1/ In order to stick as well as possible to the Lovecraftian stories, what would give the main colour of a booklet? The profession? Character? Anything else?

2/ In a one shot oriented game (as it is the case here), are the booklets indispensable? Knowing that the game is thought to be played on the go (we create, we play and we close in one session), the time devoted to creation is important.

3/ If they are not, how can we nevertheless allow the characters not all resemble each other?

If you have references of pbta games oriented oneshot, I am taker to see how they organize the game start.
