Hey.

Hey.

Hey. I’ve had a go at the quick&dirty AW2 hack to play a Spaghetti Western game. It is rough and likely ridden with mistakes and typos, but should be usable. I’ve replaced the Weird stat with Wild and added a couple of custom moves to handle wilderness roaming and showdowns. Cheers

Also, here is a link to the forum thread I’ve opened for it:

As part of the modern urban horror/supernatural hack I’m toying with (think 50% Misfits and 50% The Fades), I’ve begun to rough out a playbook called The Antiquarian, whose schtick is that they are a mature, reliable figure, such as a grandparent, who has accumulated wisdom through life experience.

I’m having an issue with trying to conceptualise their sex move though, as I can imagine anything I write creating a degree of discomfort and even hilarity among players. I’m tempted to give them something completely different, a move that is triggered by something other than sex with another character, but am I just being over-sensitive? If not, what sort of trigger would make a good replacement?

My third and final (at least for now , since I want to focus on improving the ones I have) playbook for James Mullen’s Troublemakers. This is the Hippie. After the last two books I did I wanted to create one with a more magical bent. As always feedback is welcomed and encouraged. I would particularly like feedback on the Wise Advice move. I’m have this nagging feeling I’m onto something, but that it could be a lot better.

Edit: Updated after feedback.

So I created another playbook for Troublemakers by James Mullen.

So I created another playbook for Troublemakers by James Mullen. This time the books is the Defector. The basic idea with this books is you’re playing a kid who was once part of a group of bullies, but came to realize what a jerk they were being and left. It’s focused on redemption in terms of roleplaying. In game play terms I wanted to mess around with Trouble, so many of the moves revolve around that. As always feedback is encouraged and appreciated.

Edit: Updated and name changed.

So I recently discovered the PbtA game “Troublemakers” by James Mullen . I loved it and decided to try my hand at making a play book for it. I would greatly appreciate any feedback on it, especially the move “I’m Outta Here” move, as it’s just the Monkey’s “Freedom!’ move.

Edit: After some feedback changes have been made and the playbook has been updated.

I had a question about The Show from 2E.

What happens to her leash when the PC holding it dies? Did you have anything particular in mind?

I’m looking into writing a custom move with my GM to temporarily replace “Off the Leash” until someone grabs ahold of it but I’m not sure what direction to take it.

Have any of y’all run into a similar situation? How did you handle it?

20 playbooks for #Troublemakers  is surely enough, right?

So here are six more: thanks to Adam Goldberg for his help & suggestions with these.

I am fairly new to the system, and want to run “Urban Shadows” for my friends/girlfriend, however, I wanted to make one additional playbook available for them. Based on “The Mortal Instruments” I wanted a “Nephilim/Shadowhunter” playbook.

I know the Hunter basically covers their role, but I wanted a playbook that focused a bit more on the Rune-crafting, having Angel’s Blood, and using archaic weaponry over the use of ranged weapons. Can anybody help me out?
