I’m pleased to announce that Uncharted Worlds has hit its funding goal! With 24 days left in the Kickstarter, there’s a good chance we’ll hit the Stretch Goals as well, which pleases me greatly. Thank you all for your continued support!

Hi there Sean, great work so far on this game.

Hi there Sean, great work so far on this game.  I was wondering how the Assessment move from UW compared with the Read a Sitch and Read a Person moves from AP.  Could the Assessment move be used in similar situations?  Could you asses the situation in the heat of battle, or analyse another ship or vehicle through scanners?  Could you try to assess whether the person talking to you is actually lying or feeling agitated?   Just wondering what’s the actual scope of the move, or what situations it is intended to cover.

Also, on another topic, I’ve noticed that the Debt / Favor feature disappeared from the Acquisition move in the Preview Chapter.  Are these removed from the game entirely, or just missing from the current preview version?

If the character creation app stretch goal is reached, would it be open sourced so people could contribute?

Cross-pollination! Set up a Facebook account, because more signal is always better. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Uncharted-Worlds/350511445157381

If I can be human for a moment… embarrassingly, I’m a bit of a social media Luddite (which I’m sure you can tell by now), so I’ve stayed off the radar in that sense. Publishing UW has rather forced me into these arenas, and not in a gentle way either. It’s why I’ve been asking so many people to ‘boost the signal’ or share with their friends on other forums/media; I really need the exposure, but I cringe at the thought of exposure.

My back brain is screaming “What have you done?! This isn’t introverted at all! This isn’t even extroverted! It’s… ULTRAVERTED! It’s so beyond -verted it’s horizontal.”

Preparing characters for a new campaign in Sean Gomes’ playtest group.  All-random character generation: two military types, a pilot/engineer, and druggie who owns the ship.  We figure the rest of us are along for the ride while the druggie chases the next high and frantically tries to avoid whatever dealer he last pissed off.

We’re thinking of calling it “Fear and Loathing on the Galactic Rim.”
