I’ve decided to call the upcoming supplement Thrilling Powers. It’s in the final stages of layout, I might have the PDF ready by the end of the week and the print version soon, too. I’m aiming to release them on the same day.

Let’s discuss Bonds!

Let’s discuss Bonds!

Let’s discuss Bonds!

It seems logical that the EIC can LOWER a Bond at will, but can a Player Burn a Bond to a negative amount? (from 0, to -1, for example)

Even though a Player may only Burn 1 Bond per action, can the EIC reduce a Bond by more than 1 point at a time? (from 3 to 1, for example) Maybe to narrate a particularly devastating blow to that relationship?

Is there a max/min cap to a Bond (if it isn’t stated in a Book)? For example, can a Bond be higher than 10, or less than -10?

Can a Player Burn a Bond beyond 0? (For example, my Girlfriend Bond is currently a 0. Can I Burn it again, reducing it to a -1?)

What exactly is the “Bonds to Be Resolved” section, on the Character Sheet, used for?

Are Players required to repair damaged Bonds? Can a Player just decide to let that Girlfriend Bond -3 evaporate (while providing a narrative, of course) and clear a space for a new Bond?

Other than a Drive, can new Bonds be established, just by the Narrative (and as long as a Hero has room in her Bond Threshold and the Player agrees)?

When instructed to take a Bond, by my Drive Book, do I automatically have a default Bond of 1, or 0?

When you choose a Drive book, during Character Creation, is the book considered to be fully open and all of it’s Moves immediately available to use as well?

Or do I just have access to the Drive Book, but I still need to open the book’s Moves?

Coming in without having played DW. Really like what I am reading, but would love to read a detailed play example to highlight how it all ‘hangs together’ – the comic at the front is very useful, but I am still a little apprehensive about how the game works in play.

Question: Who would I go about talking to if I wanted to license and publish a setting/world for Worlds in Peril?

Question: Who would I go about talking to if I wanted to license and publish a setting/world for Worlds in Peril? Who should I give an elevator pitch to if I want help getting it off the ground? I have an idea for a supers setting that’s been a concept for years, and I decided just now that tomorrow I’m going to give myself completely over to fleshing it out, and Worlds in Peril is THE world I want to do it in.

I thought WiP deserved to be on the PbtA Wikipedia page, so now it is =)

So, I’m trying to create a character.

So, I’m trying to create a character.

So, I’m trying to create a character. In a way its a mash-up of Ben 10 and Green Lantern, a kid that gains “lantern-type” superpowers from a sentient alien weapon fused to his arm.

SInce I’ve never played this sort of character before, I’m stumped what to put under Impossible. It needs to be something tangible and so far the only thing I’ve come up with is:

“Remove the Ion Gauntlet except upon his Death”

Since basically, the gauntlet has for all intents and purposes replaced his right arm from the elbow down with nodules of alien circuitry snaking as far up as his neck, the kid can’t remove the alien device from his body without basically killing him.

… would you read a two page lore sheet (mostly going over themes and subject matter) and then an optional 50+ collection of comic book issues and then watch an episode of Justice League: Unlimited (“Flash & Substance”) as player prep/homework before the game?
