Secret Identity Action

So how much play will be had in secret identities in your ideal game? For characters like Daredevil or She-Hulk the things they do in Court are highly important (in their solo books), Hawkguys solo book has basically no superheroing in it. On the DC side of things its a bit harder but would you run burglaries with Catwoman?

I guess i am still not sure whether to run this game like a collection of Solo Titles or as a Team Book. And how good things like mentioned above would even work. Any imput or playtest stories for those things?

What verb should I have to use if I want to spot a clue or comb an area with a speedster?

What verb should I have to use if I want to spot a clue or comb an area with a speedster? I’d go for an Investigate but sticking to the definition, it’s not purely a matter of reasoning or intellectual task. So, where do Perception actions fit?

Checking out the Movements outcomes I can find out the following effects that harm or give a condition our PC:

– Defy danger on a 7-9, offered by the EiC (BTW, what happen on a 6-?) – Take down (It’s a bit confusing. You can choose not to take harm in the doing. Do that implies that if you don’t choose this option you take that harm? What about the other un-chosen options? The same with Aid or Interfere?)

– A failed Push.

– Redirecting an attack with Serve and Protect?

– Of course, they can be harmed by an effect in the fiction.

Is the above right? Any other ways to harm the PC?

Anyone feel like a thread jam about cool game/adventure starters? Here’s a few in media res ideas that get me all excited to play:

Invasion

Aliens exist, and they’re here! The sky is blackened with great motherships and attack vessels, strange creatures are pouring out of portals all over the world, they’ve been here all along, and now they’ve put their plan in motion, taking control of the world’s governments. Only you brave heroes stand between innocent civilians and the Invaders.

Disaster

Something immense is destroying your city. A huge tidal wave, a meteor storm, an earthquake, a volcanic eruption, some otherworldly phenomenon, Whether it is natural or caused by a villain or external source, destruction of your city is imminent. You must hurry to save as many as you can.

Origin

A cataclysmic event, conspiracy, or experiment has given you powers, and you must learn to use them now to survive and help those you can.

Showdown

War has been brewing. Either between governments, secret organisations, or opposing ideologies within the super community, conflict has finally broken out, and it’s time to choose sides.

I’m getting to know all the flavors of *World, and I noticed that for many versions players choose characters from a buffet of character “classes.”

How come you didn’t go that direction with Worlds of Peril?

You could have easily identified super archetypes, like the Energy Controller, the Size-Changer, the Martial Artist, etc.

Gotta ask, are the playbooks going to have a space for players to draw their character?
