From Beyond The Grave: Whenever your loss hinders or prevents you from accomplishing a task that brings you closer to getting back what you lost, cope with it right away. If you cannot, roll+Protect. On a 10+, you control the manner in which you lose control, say what happens. On a 7-9, you control the manner in which you lose control but the EIC will give you a complication to deal with as a result of it.

I didn’t get it. The trigger describes something the PC needs to cope it right away. The clause “If you cannot” happens after Defying the Danger after losing control?

PS.: Sorry about my english, I’m trying to push the boundaries 😉

Hi, i love the game but i find hard to understand for example if a character imposes a critical condition to a villain, how does affect this to the rules?.

I mean, characters suffer minus for their moves when they’re in a critical condition, but there is no clarification for the villain, is the villain condition translated into an attack bonus for the character in order to represent the advantage?. It’s ok to leave all to the fiction but what do you ussually do?.

Thanks in advanced!

Tomorrow night i’ll have to EiC my first session of World in Peril. Wish me good luck! :D

“Along with the fictional considerations of what threat is the most apparent when choosing the source of damage, you also want to keep in mind what kind of damage you’re dealing. This might also seem obvious in the fiction as well, but dealing damage does not always have to mean Imposing a Condition. If there’s a lone civilian in the face of one of the heroes, threatening them, they may seem like an obvious source of danger (and danger can be occasionally mixed up and come from mundane sources every now and then, if that’s the game you want to play), but it doesn’t mean that the civilian has to deal a Condition to be threatening or dangerous. How you express danger and how the heroes need to react to an opponent is left in your able hands.” (p.148, “Inflicit an appropriate condition)

Could anyone explain this a little bit? I can’t imagine how “a lone civilian who can’t deal a Condition to the heroes” can be a threat to heroes.

Yes. I know a lone civilian can attack hero’s reputation, or can put someone who is important to heroes into danger. But I think that is “Threaten a Bond” move, not “Inflict an appropriate condition” move. Or is it the one of “damage, but not a Condition?”

Any chance of this coming to print or POD even?  I am late in the game getting the pdf and would LOVE to add this…

If a villain is about to attack a PC, do they have a specific chance to block or dodge via check?

If a villain is about to attack a PC, do they have a specific chance to block or dodge via check?

If a villain is about to attack a PC, do they have a specific chance to block or dodge via check? If so, how is that peformed? Are they allowed to use a power to do so? And again, if so, does it have to be in their currently available powers?

I’d appreciate an example used with whatever the answer is.
