Hi I’m curious on the fixer’s “I know people” move. Does the player have to “roll hit the street” following that move? It came up in my session the other night. Wasn’t sure. It feels like there’s already a roll involved so I made the call that the move doesn’t need the additional hit the street roll. But I am now curious because I could see a case for needing the second roll.

During the Action phase when the Action Clock hits 0000:. The PCs narrate how they escape, how they were captured, or how they were killed.

If all of the PCs escape alive the corporate clock advances.

Then in the Retaliation phase: If the legwork clock is at 0000, advance the corporate clock. If the action clock is at 0000 and the PCs escaped alive, advance the corporate clock twice.

It strikes me that advancing the corporate clock during Action and then again during Retaliation for the same reason seems a bit off. Like maybe it was an editing error.

I’m inclined to just advance it during Retaliation.

How do the rest of you play this?

Quick rules/ruling question. I’ve watched a live-play example of The Sprawl where the characters were in an airborne vehicle flying over restricted airspace to get to the destination for their mission. On the way, an automated air traffic control system asked them for the appropriate authorization codes. The players wanted to use [intel] or [gear] for these, and were told by the MC that they it couldn’t be used in this case, as [intel] adds +1 to a roll, and that this information wasn’t really [gear]. What are your thoughts?

Now, to be fair, not having the codes did not stop the players from continuing on with their plan, and so maybe it was a situation of using the MC move “Make their lives complicated,” but it seems to me like at least [gear] could be spent in this way (maybe the codes are on a datachip)?

Hi!

Hi!

Hi!

I was reading through the book last night and noticed something strange. Drone descriptions in the Driver playbook lets a large drone equip weapons up to 5-harm, while later in the gear section it says they can equip up to 4-harm weapons.

I don’t see this as an issue that would affect play, just curious if it’s just an oversight or if the Driver is meant to have bigger, badder drones? This seems unlikely to me though since the vehicle section seems identical between the playbook and gear section.

Here with another question on how other GM’s handle a situation:

How do you address a player successfully mixing it up against an enemy with armor greater than their weapon damage ie pistol (2harm) vs military armor (3armour)

In this particular situation the objective was “to subdue or best the enemy team”
