Just downloaded my PDFs – they look fantastic! I’m really looking forward to running US with my gaming group in Maryland in a couple of weeks.

One question – Am I correct in assuming that the extra playbooks are backer-only for now? I really enjoyed the morally corrupt arcane librarian Scholar I played in Mark Diaz Truman’s playtest at Origins, and I would love to continue his sleazy adventures sometime!

After more than a year of writing, editing, layout, and proofing… the PDFs for Urban Shadows goes live today for backers! We’ll have regular PDFs up for sale via DTRPG by the end of the week (for non-backers) and print copies available soon for everyone! Thank you!

While I wait for the PDF’s to go on sale, two things that are in my mind:

1) I understand that there are a few archetypes that are only included in the backers’ editions. Will there be a way for us non-backing plebeians to get those as well?

2) I remember Andrew saying that he couldn’t talk about translations just yet. Any word on when he will? Mostly because I’m very lazy and I want to know if I’ll be able to nick translated achetype playbooks from the other Brazilians rather than doing those myself… but also I’m holding out hope that there might be a Brazilian physical edition in the future.

Finally got to run Urban Shadows Last night and it was amazing fun!

I cannot wait dr the preorder PDF to be emailed so I can dig deeper into another session.

I used a Vegas set up that I had devised for a different game. Just had 6 NPC’s and some goals and plot elements. The PC’s did the rest. Ran it with a Vamp, a Veteran, an Oracle and a Wizard. Very fun!

So I was considering revisiting this scenario at our RP society’s next Freshers Week with Esoterrorists originally, but I’m struggling to make the concept fit with that setting. I’m thinking it might work with Urban Shadows though?

I’m reading the second most recent version (because it’s easier to read that the one with 2 pages per “page”), and this is probably the first time I’ve read anything other than playbooks or the basic moves.

Dang, it’s good! So much advice I want to print on 10 foot index cards for folks who haven’t quite internalized it (which sometimes includes me).
