New Playbook (just Text, Tri-Fold will come)

It isn’t something completly unique or so, more of a combination of AW Driver and DW Ranger but hey, you have something to play with.

I will give the tri-fold out when it is ready. It would be cool if someone could shoot me the Hollow and Selkie (Monsterhearts Skins) for it.

Introducing

The Master of Hounds

We contain ruthless predators within, call them wolf or ambition or rage but it is there. Only with full control of this wolf can we survive. That’s why we have laws to not be on each others throats at all time. Alphas make these laws and the other packmembers follow. Law is all that seperates us from the howling within.

But law, to far removed from the beast makes us weak. We loose our claws and our fur falls out so we are cold and without weapons.

The only law that makes us strong it the one close to the beast. Pack law.

I am this law

Homo homini lupus.

Threats and fronts

Threats and fronts

Threats and fronts

So i have a Problem with fronts. I can find threats in the game but I find it hard to put them together as a front. I can maybe come up with 2 things that can work together more or less but it’s hard. I understand that maybe half of the threats should be stuff directly found in play, the other half would come from my evil mind.

Is there a good front workshop somewhere online? The stuff in the book doesn’t help me enough. I will post the stuff going on in my game later but at first i want to know if fronts themselves are needed or if a bunch of threats can be enough.

I somehow also just stars at countdownclocks all the time empty minded. I know that it isn’t that hard or shouldn’t be but I just don’t know what to do. Mostly I have either a startpoint or endpoint and don’t know further.

So i listened to book 3 in the Iron Druid Chronicles and realised how bad of an agressive GM i became again.

So i listened to book 3 in the Iron Druid Chronicles and realised how bad of an agressive GM i became again. I was really good at that when we played Mouse Guard but i have become a bit of a too big fan of the PCs i think.

This book (and the dresden Files too) is really good at putting 3-5 fronts in front of the protagonist and making him somehow deal with that. I use maybe 1-2 fronts per session and generally don’t bring that much adversity.

I need to update my fronts too so that is something i definietly need to work on (i am really bad at creating fronts. the process is hard for me)

So any tips on beeing more aggro, on creating fronts without starring at countdown clocks to long and on fronts at the table?

Is there Design Space for a Playbook that two persons share?

Is there Design Space for a Playbook that two persons share?

Is there Design Space for a Playbook that two persons share? Something like Captain Marvel/Billy Batson maybe but more playable.

The things i am thinking right now are

Psychic Link – doable

Guy and his monster – maybe?

Lovers/Twins – not strong enough thematicly

Captain Marvel/Hulk – means one person can’t play half the time.

Any other ideas?

So what Playbook would you really like to try but haven’t had the chance to?

So what Playbook would you really like to try but haven’t had the chance to?

I would like to play (in no particular order)

The Hardholder – because having so much power is tempting. I like beeing in charge in RPGs

The Hoarder – i can’t figure out what they really are about without seeing it in play

The Operator – a mix of Hardholder and Hoarder. I want to see how it ticks and i like beeing in charge

The Juggernaut – GIANT! MECH! Especially a biomechanical one that requires peoples blood to work. Giant machine of death that requires a sacrifice? Yes please! Awesome moral questions.

Thought half the Day how my Hardhold would Look like if i finally got to Play an AW game…
